Grades 1 through 5 Junior Program
These clinics are available to children in all schools.
Goals and Objectives
- introduce the fundamentals of hitting a forehand, backhand, serve and volley
- begin to "play" tennis
- learn the scoring system of tennis
- improve overall athleticism
- develop the requisite skill set needed to attend our 12 and Under Elite Training Program
Program Options
There are 7 options for this group:

School staff will organize all SHS children who are signed up for tennis on the benches outside the Principal's office. Tennis coaches then walk the children over to the SHS Tennis Complex. Parents of children who do not attend St. Josephs should bring their children to the SHS tennis complex (Valparaiso and Emilie) at 3:00 pm. All children should be picked up no later than 4:30 pm. |

Program Fees
- Single Day (Option 1 through 5): $415
- Two Day Discount (Choose any two options above that meet on different days.): $750
- Saturday Flex Plan (Gives you the flexibility to attend either the 10:15 am or the 1 pm Saturday clinic.): $515
- Flex Plan (Gives you the flexibility to attend any three of our Grades 1-5 clinics each week—clinic days can vary each week depending on your schedule): $990

Details
- Pick up: Please pick up your child promptly at the end of any scheduled clinic.
- Weather: If you have any questions regarding the weather, please call Losaline Mafileo at (650) 814-5416. Losaline's outgoing message will inform you if a clinic has been cancelled due to inclement weather.
- Rain-Outs: If a clinic is rained out, make-up opportunities will be given during the 2012 Fall clinic session.
- Equipment/Shoes: Remember your tennis racket and non-marking shoes!
