Since the arrival of Losaline Mafileo and Jack Helu prior to the 2003-4 school year, both the boys’ and girls’ tennis programs have steadily improved and now are considered among the best in Northern California.

SHP GIRLS’ VARSITY HIGHLIGHTS

• 2003 team finished the year in fourth place in the perennially tough WCAL—this represented the highest finish in SHP school history for the girls’ tennis team in WCAL league play
• 2004 team finished the year as co-champions (with St. Francis) of the WCAL—this was the first time in school history that a tennis team (either boys or girls) had ever won a league title
• 2004 team was the first girls’ team from SHP to earn a spot in the CCS team tournament.
• 2004 team advanced to the semi-finals of the CCS tournament before losing to the eventual CCS champions (Monta Vista)
• 2004 team finished the year with a 25-4 record
• 2005 team finished WCAL play with a perfect 14-0 record defeating perennial tennis powers St. Francis, Mitty and St. Ignatius along the way
• 2005 team was only the second team in any sport to go unbeaten in WCAL play in SHP school history
• 2005 team advanced to the quarter-finals of CCS team play before losing to Archbishop Mitty
• 2005 squad finished the season with a 20-7 record
• 2005 brought home a CCS championship when junior Sam Rosekrans won the singles title defeating Archbishop Mitty’s Taylor Davis in an epic final 5-7,6-3,7-6 (10-8). This was the first CCS tennis title won by a lady Gator in school history
  
• 2006 team finished WCAL play with a 12-2 record and tied for second place with St. Francis
• 2006 Gators reached the semi-finals of the CCS team tournament before losing to the eventual champions, Monta Vista
• 2006 SHP team finished the year with a 18-7 record
• 2006 team captured a CCS title when senior Sam Rosekrans and junior Haley Hemm won the doubles title
• 2007 Gators earned an 11-3 record in WCAL play which placed them in sole possession of second place
• 2007 team lost in the quarter-finals of the CCS team tournament to St. Ignatius 5 matches to 2
• 2007 team compiled an 18-5 record

BOYS’ VARSITY TENNIS HIGHLIGHTS

• 2004 team finished the year going a perfect 12-0 in the PSAL—it was the first league title won by a tennis team in school history
• 2004 squad reached the second round of the CCS team tournament before falling to Los Altos High
• 2004 team finished the year 17-6
• 2005 team was undefeated in league play at 12-0
• 2005 team finished the regular season 20-1, losing only at Homestead 4-3.
• 2005 squad earned the #2 seed in the CCS team tournament—the highest seeding ever for a SHP tennis team
• 2005 team defeated #1 seeded Menlo to win the CCS team tournament—the first CCS championship won by a tennis team in SHP school history
• 2005 team reached the semi-finals of the NorCal team tournament before losing a tough 4-3 decision to Alameda High
• 2005 team ended the year 24-2 and among the top four high school tennis teams in Northern California
• 2005 season included another CCS title for SHP when freshman Jamie Hutter and sophomore Adam Davison captured the CCS doubles title—this was the first CCS individual tennis title in school history
• 2006 team earned the #1 seed in the CCS team tournament--the highest seeding ever for a SHP tennis team
• 2006 team defeated #3 seeded Menlo (6-1) in the semi-finals and #2 seeded Saratoga (5-2) in the finals to claim their second straight CCS title
• 2006 Gators played their best match of the year, blanking an outstanding Bellermine team (7-0) to claim their first NorCal team title
• 2006 team ended the year 24-2 and was the #1 ranked boys' high school tennis team in Northern California
• 2006 team clamed their second CCS title of the season when sophomore Erik Blumenkranz and junior Mirza Klis won the CCS doubles title (the Gators' second CCS doubles title in a row)
• 2007 team was a perfect 14-0 in the PSAL
• 2007 Gators won the west regional of the National High School Tennis Team Invitational Tournament in Corona del Mar. The unseeded Gators defeated the top three seeded teams (#3 Dana Hills, #2 University High and #1 Santa Barbara High School) on their way to taking the title. SHP’s victory was the first time a team from Northern California had won this event.
• 2007 Mirza Klis earns “All-Tournament” honors at the west regional of the National High School Tennis Team Invitational Tournament.
• 2007 team wins the prestigious National High School Tennis Team Invitational Tournament in Mason, Ohio beating the tournament's top seeded team Dr. Michael M. Krop (Florida) in the finals by a score of 6 matches to 3
• 2007 Senior Mirza Klis and Erik Blumenkranz are selected to the “All-Tournament” team at the National High School Tennis Team Invitational Tournament
• 2007 Gator team enters the CCS tournament a perfect 26-0 but are upset in the semi-finals by an inspired and athletic Bellermine team. The final score was 4 matches to 3.
• 2007 team finishes the year with a 26-1 record
• 2007 senior Mirza Klis and sophomore John Parsons win SHP’s fourth CCS doubles title in the past four years
